Meet Susan Garner Jones

​

Susan Garner Jones was born in Garland County and has lived in Hot Springs for most of her life. For the past 25 years, Susan and her husband, Pastor Doug Jones, have made their home in District 3, where they have lived, worked, served, and raised their family.

Susan and Doug have been married for 50 years. They are the proud parents of two children and grandparents of eight. Doug serves as pastor of 25 years at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Hot Springs, where Susan faithfully supports the church and its ministries in a variety of ways.

Susan has a long record of service to the people of Garland County. Her community involvement includes:

  • Serving on the Board of Change Point Pregnancy Care and Parenting Resource Center​​

  • Serving as a charter member of the Garland County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force​

  • Serving with the Unity Coalition​

  • Volunteering wherever her skills, experience, and abilities can benefit others

​A former educator, Susan taught kindergarten and first grade for 12 years. She continues to enjoy teaching children and helping people of all ages learn to read or strengthen their reading skills.

Susan is also a local business owner who understands the challenges facing working families and small businesses.

For the past two years, Susan has represented District 3 as a justice of the peace on the Garland County Quorum Court, where she has been one of only two women serving on the court. She brings to public office a lifetime of faith, family, education, business experience, and community service.

Susan Garner Jones is committed to listening to the people, serving with integrity, and providing dependable, conservative leadership for District 3 and all of Garland County.

A Conservative Voice for Our Community

Throughout my time on the Quorum Court, I have worked tirelessly to promote fiscal responsibility, community development, and public safety. My approach is grounded in conservative principles, ensuring that our district thrives while remaining a great place to live and work. I strive to create transparent governance and foster collaboration among community stakeholders. Together, we can build a brighter future for District 3.

About District 3

District 3 is almost entirely within the City of Hot Springs. It stretches west from Central Avenue by Oaklawn Race Track to the shore of beautiful Lake Hamilton, between Airport Road (U.S.70) and West Mountain of Hot Springs National Park. You will find everything you need to enjoy the great outdoors along Albert Pike and Airport Road, including fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, watercrafts, and RV’s.
